Playground school bell rings again
Adama watched disgusted as the video of Baltar in his cell played once more, the once brilliant scientist rather loudly engaged with a female the Commander could not see, muttering all the time of poison, how she was Poison, how she was under his skin, how he wanted her.
Rain clouds come to play again
This was the cause of the destruction of the colonies?
One mans inability to control himself, to see one woman for what she was caused the burning radioactive clouds to level civilisation?
Has no one told you she's not breathing?
She's just a chip, a device within your mind Baltar!
She isn't alive. She isn't human.
Hello I'm your mind giving you someone to talk to
Baltar gasped as Six turned away, smiling seductively at him from under closed lashes, she wasn't real, she was a creature of his mind, he knew that!
But she was within his mind, he couldn't escape her, wherever he went, she was there too.
If I smile and don't believe
Baltar buried his head in his hands, hoping he could wish her away, hoping he would wake one day and she would be gone.
Soon I know I'll wake from this dream
Baltar glanced around, hope filling him as he realized she had gone, maybe finally he was free of her spectre?
But no, despairing he realized she was back as she walked through the heavy metal bars into his cell, his prison.
Don't try to fix me I'm not broken
He shook his head, despairing and uncaring as the Doctors once again visited him in his cell, trying to get him to interact with humanity, to maintain hold on sanity. Baltar, despairing of ever being described as sane again, just brushed them off.
Hello I'm the lie living for you so you can hide
Baltar glared at her, he had a suspicion the chip in his head wasn't entirely authorised, after all it relied on humans, in particular him escaping the Cylons, so why was it in him, why had she chosen to place her existence in his hands?
Why did she feel the need to hide from her fellow Cylons, to maintain a copy of herself separate from any Cylon control?
Suddenly I know I'm not sleeping
Baltar groaned, sinking backwards, lying back down onto the bed, trying to ignore the pouting Six, he knew this was his reality, he knew he wasn't sleeping, that this was a nightmare he wouldn't wake from. It was too painful to be anything else.
Hello I'm still here
Six sat down on his chest, forcing the air out of Baltars lungs with a whoosh, she was still here, there was nothing he could do could change that.
So maybe he should just adapt, drop the martyred routine and get on with it? It wasn't as if she could stop him physically after all.
All that's left of yesterday
