Summary: This is my response to Suzanne’s ‘This isn’t funny, Lee!’ challenge. It is also my first attempt at BSG fanfic! And yes, I know there was no actual romance, but eventually I will work my way up to it! And so it’s not exactly an original title, but I couldn’t think of anything else.
Spoilers/Disclaimers: None / I don’t own BSG or any of its characters. Hell I don’t even own the challenge. Please don’t sue.

“This isn’t funny, Lee!”

“What?” he asked innocently.

“You know damn well what isn’t, you bastard!”

“Hey, now, that’s a pretty hefty insult there, Lt. Thrace. I suggest you take that back.”

“There is no way in hell I am taking it back!”

“Let me go, Adama, or I swear to the Gods that as soon as I get out of this mess I will kick your sorry ass from here to Kobol.”

Captain Lee Adama simply tightened his hold on Lieutenant Kara Thrace and smiled. It had only been half an hour ago when she got off duty that he suggested a spar in the gym. He knew she’d had a run in with Tyrol and Tigh so he figured he could let her release some of the pent up frustration on him. What he hadn’t counted on was her complete lack of co-ordination or her lack of interest. It seemed to him that she had only agreed to the spar to humour him. Well he’d fixed her.

“Adama,” Kara ground out.

“Yes?” he asked sweetly.

“I swear if you don’t let me get my face out of your crotch, I will remove any chance you had of ever passing on the Adama gene naturally. Hey…I am in just the right position to sink my teeth in. Ya think that’d hurt, Adama?”

Lee quickly released his hold on Kara especially after a moment’s consideration. She was right. She could and probably would do something like that to get out of a mess.

Kara stood up and offered her hand to Lee. He took it and helped himself up off the mat while it was Kara who stood there, an innocent smile on her face making her seem almost angelic.

“Thank you kindly. I trust we will continue this another time?”

A thin band of sweat broke out on his forehead. Lee wasn’t so sure he wanted a rematch, not after what had just happened.

“Uh, yeah, sure…” he agreed.

“Good. Oh, and just so you know, I would never hurt your father in that way. He needs someone to carry on the Adama line, you know,” she said with a wink. With that, Kara turned on her heel and walked out of the gym, leaving a very scared, but perplexed Lee Adama in her wake.
